He came all the way from faraway Australia. He wanted to see Anandmayee Maa-woman sage-which he had done by the time we sighted him moving about in the narrow by-lanes of Uttarkashi. He was tall, handsome and barefoot, and slightly sun-tanned. He was a baker by profession. We were told that he owned a Jaguar car back home. He had sold off his business, and for the following year wanted to concentrate on travelling around through different parts of the globe. India was his third destination after Philippines and Thailand.
