It’s been said that the more time a couple spends together, the more they start to resemble one another. Now that I think of it, they say the same thing about people and their pets. Regardless, I know quite a few couples that lookalike. I’m not sure if it is how they dress, their hair coloring, the vibe they give off, or all of the above, but today we have the perfect celebrity example. Portia de Rossi has had her long blonde hair cut into a short crop and she looks a lot like her wife, Ellen DeGeneres. Check it out and flick through our gallery of other celeb lookalikes. Yesterday morning I made my way to Griffith Park for week 3 of marathon training with Team 2 End AIDS. Our pace group, the 10 minute mile folks, had to come up with a name so we decided to call ourselves Hang 10 … which is apt considering we are training to run the Honolulu Marathon :) Much of the rest of my day was pretty relaxing and last night, David and I finally got to hang out with dear friends we haven’t seen in ages!

To get us inspired for our upcoming marathon, the meeting area at the training location was all decked out with Hawai’ian themed stuff … and we each got lei’d, too :) Our 4 mile run was pretty decent, it was a great run for me so I had a blast. Remember, I’m soliciting donations for AIDS Project Los Angeles HERE so if you’d like to donate, please do so! I’ll mention this often … for the rest of the year so, be prepared ;)

Last night, David and I finally got to meet up and hang with Emma and Josh. We haven’t seen them since they got married 2 months ago. We met up for dinner at Upper West and just spent the whole time catching up with one another. It was really great to see them, they look fantastic.

Today, David and I have a couple of birthday parties to attend. First up, Neil is celebrating with an afternoon pool party. Later this evening, Adam is celebrating with a karaoke-fest. It should be a fun Sunday. Woot!

Another day, another intimate Garbage performance. I was invited by 98.7 FM here in LA to attend one of their Houseguest penthouse performances at the famed Hollywood Tower to see Garbage play a live acoustic set. Now, y’all know how much I love me some Garbage so I simply couldn’t turn down the invite. I met up with Darion and our friends Steph and Alec at The Hollywood Tower and snagged ourselves a prime location for the show. Check out some photos and video below.

The band only played a handful of songs but every track was performed acoustically. I have seen quite a few Garbage shows in my day but I’ve never been able to see the band play an acoustic set. They were just amazing. Here is video of the band performing their first ever single Vow:

Not only was the band amazing but so, too, was the location. The Hollywood Tower is one of those iconic buildings that really hearken back to the golden age of Tinsel Town. I’ve always wanted to visit … and yesterday’s performance was the perfect first visit. The views from the penthouse balcony are stunning. Everything about the event was perfect.

After the show, we made our way across the street to the 101 Coffee Shop for a bite to eat and that was my night. If you can believe it, Darion and I are making our way to Santa Barbara this afternoon for — yes — another Garbage performance. I know it may sound like things are getting out of hand but D and I figure we might as well enjoy the band while we can because they’ll be spending the entire Summer in Europe on tour. The trip to SB will be a quick one … we see the show then return home. I fly out to Detroit tomorrow afternoon so … bizzy bizzy bizzy.

It’s Friday, again! Can you believe it? It’s also June. The year is half over … oy!! Hope you have a great weekend!!

Meet Kelly Scruggs, mistress to secret service agent Arthur Huntington. It seems as though his extramarital affairs started way before the sex scandal broke this year.
