As a teacher, I have learned that those organ students who progress most quickly are those who have a support team, a cheering squad, and a group of people who believe in what they are doing. For many students, their support team is their family. A family gives the student time away from family obligations to practice, they share in the financial obligations for organ study, and enthusiastically support the student's desire to learn new skills.
