Jazz is a form of music which is immensely popular with musicians as well as audiences. Some see it as a performers art, but others enjoy the complex rhythms and improvisation which is all part and parcel of the genre. Where did Jazz come from? There seems to be no single answer, but then again, there is no single type of jazz.
